THE CURRENT AU THO...
The Nexus is a large complex that pretty much defies space and time; you end up there when you open a door that just happens to lead there and once you're inside there's basically no way out. It's possible for people from all different time periods and even different universes to end up there. The Nexus basically appears to be a building made of many doors and hallways and stairs and each door leads somewhere different, be it a kitchen or bedroom or a forest or beach or city; though none of these places are occupied by anyone except people living in The Nexus. (Though they're stocked with whatever food or other necessities you could want or need; you just have to look for them)
TL;DR Everyone is from a different time period or AU and they all somehow ended up in the nexus together

You can pick pretty much any time period or AU u want including 2P or Nyo (You can mix time periods or AUs with 2P or Nyo if you want as well)
Unless two characters are from the same time period/AU/etc. they may recognise each other but they won't know what happened in the other character's universe
Please specify where your character came from in your chat name (E.G. make it "[AU/time period] Character name" or some variation thereof)
